The area is flat and therefore ideal for cycling both on and off road. Hadrian's Cycleway is one possibility, or you might prefer to ride along the quiet country roads and discover some of the unspoilt countryside and charming hamlets and villages.

For walkers, easy to follow trails include Five Circular Family Walks, the Solway Villages Trail and the Solway Smugglers Route among others.
