Cycling in the Lakes can be as easy or as tough as you want it to be. Cumbria has an unparralled network of country lanes, bridleways, and cycle paths allowing you to ride along and discover beautiful countryside. And then there's the Fells. If you're really adventurous, you could take on the famous C2C route - but you do need to be fit since it can be pretty arduous. For easy riding, take the flatter paths on the Solway Firth or ride through the Eden valley. If you want a trial run, lots of local companies hire out bikes and you can just set your own pace.
